How the Aniimo Aniilog Works: Research Points, Tiers and Collection Progress

What the Aniilog records

Official · beta build The Journey hands you the Aniilog (“Received it? That’s your Aniilog.”), and from then on the game’s own line applies: “The information of all Aniimo you meet on your journey will be recorded here.” An Aniimo you have not met yet shows as “not yet recorded in Aniilog”.

Every Aniimo you have discovered is displayed there, and each entry opens on its details: the game sends you to the Aniilog to “View Aniimo traits, combat abilities, and evolution paths”. The two special starters you choose between at the start of the Journey are companions outside the numbered list.

The roster keeps growing. The last beta build numbered 93 Aniimo, and FunPlus confirmed more than 200 at launch. Expect the Aniilog you open on launch day to be far larger than anything the betas showed.

Research Points and the four research tiers

Official · beta build Every Aniimo has a research bar that fills with Research Points. The bar is split into four tiers, and each tier has its own cost for that Aniimo: Celestis, for example, asks for 110, then 60, then 90, then 110 points, so 370 in total. Across the current roster, fully researching one Aniimo takes between 240 and 530 Research Points.

The reward is concrete: each tier unlocks one Aniimo Accessory Slot for that Aniimo, so a fully researched Aniimo gains four. The game shows the result as “Aniimo Accessory Slot Unlocked”. Your standing with each Aniimo also carries a Research Level title: Novice, Adept, Veteran, Expert and finally Master.

How you earn Research Points

Official · beta build Each Aniimo comes with its own research tasks. A task has up to four steps, each asking for more than the last (5, then 10, 20 and 40 on one of them). The tasks you will meet most often are:

• Catch this Aniimo and Defeat this Aniimo.
• Use Skills and Use Ultimate.
• Complete the evolution of this Aniimo, and on branching families Complete 2 evolution paths.
• Own an elite Aniimo, Obtain a Sparkling Aniimo and Catch an Alpha Aniimo.
• Collect a Prismana Form Aniimo and Collect 3 different forms on the families that have them.
• Element-specific tasks such as Defeat this Aniimo using a Water skill, and a few one-offs like Catch this Aniimo from behind.

The game names other sources too. Field Notes are “a fast way to earn Research Points”, Topics are “a simpler option”, and “You can also earn Research Points by catching Sparkling Aniimo”. Research you gather in the field is synced through the Research Console, which sends it to your Aniilog: “Research Points have been distributed. You can open the Research handbook to view them.”

Our take Because tasks are per Aniimo, the fastest route is to fold them into what you already do: fight with the Aniimo you are researching, catch the extra copies you meet anyway, and save the Sparkling, Alpha and elite goals for the Aniimo you plan to keep.

The nine research sections of an entry

Official · beta build Opening an Aniimo’s entry shows nine research sections. Several of them open only when you own the right individual:

• Basic Info, the entry’s opening page.
• Skill Research and Rare Skill Research: “Unlocks when you obtain an Aniimo with this skill.”
• Trait Research and Special Trait Research: “Unlocks when you obtain an Aniimo with this trait.”
• Form Research: “Unlocks when you obtain an Aniimo with this form.”
• Evolution Research, Feature Research and Completed Research.

Our take Since a trait or skill section opens only for an Aniimo that actually carries it, a second catch with a different trait can open a section your first catch never will. Before you release a duplicate, check whether it filled anything new.

Aniilog levels and Collection Progress

Official · beta build Beyond each Aniimo, the Aniilog tracks your progress across a whole area. In Breezy Plains, it has 12 Aniilog levels, the first at 500 Research Points, and each level pays out a reward.

Collection counts on its own ladders, each step with its reward:

• Species collected, every 9 Aniimo, from 9 up to 90.
• Collection Progress, every 10 points, from 10 up to 207.

Journey objectives also set regional targets, such as “Reach 40% Aniimo Collection Progress in Beast Fang Ridge”, then 70% and 100% in other regions. They are a good nudge to finish one region before moving on.

Why the Aniilog matters on launch day

Official · beta build If you sealed an Aniimo at the end of a beta, the Aniilog is the key to getting it back. The Bond Pact rules are explicit: after launch, you must unlock the matching form in the Aniilog before the sealed egg can hatch, the same condition as the earlier Reunion Promise event.

Our take If your sealed Aniimo was a regional form, hunt that exact form first after launch: until it is recorded, the egg stays sealed. The capture guide and the interactive map will get you there fastest.
