How to Link Your Aniimo Account Across PC, PS5 and Xbox

Aniimo progress is shared across PC, console and mobile within one server, but only if your platform accounts are linked to the same Aniimo Pass. On console the link prompt appears exactly once. Here is how it works, sourced from the official pre-download notice.

Aniimo runs on separate regional servers, and every account question people ask boils down to one thing: does my progress follow me? The official pre-download notice answers this in detail, and the rules are simple once you see them laid out. The trap is that one of them only gives you one chance to get it right.

The short version

  • Your account is your Aniimo Pass, an email-based account. Every platform login (Steam, PSN, Microsoft, mobile) links to one of these.
  • Progress is shared across PC, console and mobile, but only within the same server, and only once every platform you use is linked to the same Aniimo Pass.
  • On console, the link prompt for an existing Aniimo Pass appears once: the very first time that PSN or Microsoft account logs into Aniimo. Skip it, and it’s gone for good.
  • Your PS5 server is assigned automatically by your PSN account’s region. There is no cross-server progress.

What the Aniimo Pass actually is

Every Aniimo account is tied to an email address, the Aniimo Pass. It’s the thing that actually holds your progress; PSN, Microsoft, Steam and mobile store logins are just doors into it. This matters because two different store logins can point at the same Aniimo Pass (so your progress is genuinely shared), or at two different ones (so you effectively have two separate accounts that never meet).

Linking on PC via Steam

If you tested a beta on Steam and are now logging into the full game with a different email account, you’re not starting over. Download the Steam client, log in, and you’ll be prompted to link an Aniimo Pass email account right there. If you skip that prompt and go straight into the game, you can still complete the link later from the in-game Email Link page.

Linking on console: the one-time prompt

This is the part worth reading twice. The prompt to link an existing Aniimo Pass appears only the first time a PSN account or a Microsoft account logs into Aniimo. That single popup is your only chance to link that console account to an Aniimo Pass you already have.

  • If you complete it: your console progress and your existing PC or beta progress become the same account, sharing everything within that server.
  • If you skip it, or go straight into the game: that PSN or Microsoft account registers a brand-new Aniimo Pass, and it can never be linked to your existing account afterward. There is no second chance and no support ticket that fixes it.

Practically: before you ever press “Start Game” on a PS5 or Xbox for the first time, know whether you already have an Aniimo Pass you want to keep, and have that email ready.

On PlayStation 5, your server is assigned automatically from your PSN account’s registered region, and Aniimo does not support cross-server progress. Before you link a PSN account to an existing Aniimo Pass, check that the server your existing character is on actually matches the server your PSN account will be assigned to. Linking two accounts on different servers doesn’t merge their progress; it can only follow one of them.

What “shared” actually covers

Once your accounts are linked, within the same server:

  • Progress is fully shared across PC, console and mobile.
  • Controller support and the achievement/trophy system carry across PS5 and Xbox once linked.
  • Multiple pre-order packs (say, one bought on PS5 and one on Xbox) can both be claimed on the same account once both platforms are linked to the same Aniimo Pass, and their mailbox items land wherever you first created a character on each platform.

What is not shared: anything across different servers. Data on different servers stays fully independent, by design.

FAQ

  • I only ever play on one platform. Do I need to do anything? Not really: link if a prompt offers it, but there’s nothing to preserve if you have no prior account.
  • I forgot to link on my first console login. Can support fix it? No. The official notice states this is the only chance; treat it as permanent.
  • Can I switch which account is “the main one” later? Not through linking after the fact: the link only works from an account with no prior history.
  • Does linking cost anything? No, it’s free and instant.
  • I bought pre-order packs on both PS5 and Xbox. Do I need to link both to get both? Yes: link the PSN and Microsoft accounts used for both purchases to the same Aniimo Pass, and both packs’ contents land in your in-game mailbox.
