Aniimo Pre-Order Packs: Advanced vs Collector's Edition Compared
Two optional console pre-order packs, Advanced at $9.99 and Collector's at $19.99, both include a platform-exclusive accessory, a Companion Handbook and a Prismana egg. Here is exactly what each contains, how to claim it, and an honest take on whether either is worth buying, before the window closes at launch.
Say this plainly first: Aniimo is free-to-play. These packs are not the game and buy nothing you need to play at launch. They are two optional, console-only bonus bundles, and this page exists to tell you exactly what’s in each one, how you actually get the contents, and whether either is worth the money.
The short version
- Two tiers, console only: Advanced Edition ($9.99) and Collector’s Edition ($19.99). No PC or mobile equivalent has been announced.
- Both include a platform-exclusive accessory, a Companion Handbook (the battle pass) with a Handbook-exclusive Prismana-form egg, and evolution material.
- Collector’s adds an exclusive doll and an exclusive avatar frame on top of everything in Advanced.

The accessory is where platforms diverge
PlayStation pre-orders come with Fluffy Friend, listed as a PlayStation-exclusive. Xbox pre-orders come with Doggo Dude instead. Neither is announced as obtainable on the other platform, and no pre-order pack has been announced for PC or mobile at all: Steam, Epic, iOS and Android players currently have nothing equivalent to buy.
How and when you get the contents
Pack items don’t appear automatically in your character sheet. Per the official pre-download notice:
- After servers open, download and log into the game on the platform where you bought the pack.
- Items land in the in-game mailbox of the first character you create on that account.
- Claim them from mail, then open your inventory to actually use them: the Companion Handbook is an inventory item, and using it activates the current tier of that period’s Battle Pass, valid until the version ends.
- The Handbook’s exclusive Prismana egg changes with each version: you get the one live when you redeem it, not necessarily the one shown when you bought the pack.
Battle Pass rules worth knowing before you buy
The pre-download notice’s FAQ spells out a few interactions that change what a second purchase actually buys you:
- Aniimo can wear up to 2 accessories at once; your player character can wear 1.
- Only one paid Battle Pass tier can be active per period (per version), whether Advanced or Collector’s.
- Once any paid tier is active, remaining redemption items from other packs can’t be used that period: they carry over to a future version instead, with no expiration.
- Upgrading an active Advanced Edition to Collector’s within the same period requires a paid upgrade. You cannot stack a separate Collector’s Battle Pass on top of an active Advanced one.
- If you hold multiple redemption cards (say, from buying both packs, or packs on two platforms), the recommendation from the notice itself is to use them first, before buying anything else, to avoid a duplicate purchase.
Own both PS5 and Xbox? You can claim both
Buying a pack on both platforms and claiming both rewards on one account is supported: link the PSN account and the Microsoft account used for each purchase to the same Aniimo Pass, and both packs’ contents arrive in your in-game mailbox. Should you buy one?
Editor’s note: neither pack is a competitive purchase, and nothing here closes a gap you can’t close by playing. What you’re actually buying is a battle pass you could otherwise get after launch, one cosmetic accessory locked to your console, and one Prismana-form egg. The egg is the only line with real gameplay weight, since Prismana forms are a rarer variant, and it’s still one creature out of a roster of more than 200 at launch. If you were going to buy the Companion Handbook anyway, the Advanced Edition is roughly that purchase with a free accessory attached. The Collector’s Edition is cosmetics stacked on top.
