Aniimo System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

The official Aniimo requirements as published on September 14, 2026: a GTX 970 with 8 GB RAM at minimum, an RTX 3060 with 16 GB recommended, 40 GB on an SSD for PC, 18 GB on iOS and Android, and 30 to 35 GB on console. Here is what that means in practice, plus the Intel crash fix.

Aniimo’s requirements were revised on September 14, 2026, in the pre-download notice, and the Steam page switched to the same PC values that day. The short version: the bar went down. A GTX 970 with 8 GB of RAM is now the PC minimum, and you need 40 GB of free space, ideally on an SSD. For the first time, the notice also covers iOS and Android.

Every value above is quoted from the official table dated 2026.9.14; the Steam listing gives the same processors, memory, graphics cards and 40 GB, lists DirectX as “Version 11” and adds a broadband connection. Nothing here is estimated. The studio adds that it “will keep working to optimize Aniimo through continued updates” and that the table may change, so we re-read it before every edit of this page.

Reading between the lines

  • The minimum is now genuinely old hardware. A GTX 970 dates from 2014 and an i7-4770 from 2013. Before September 14 the Steam page asked for a GTX 1060, 12 GB of RAM and an i7-9700. If your machine fell just below the old floor, check again.
  • 8 GB of RAM is enough to start. That was the line most likely to catch people out under the old 12 GB minimum. Recommended stays at 16 GB.
  • Recommended came down a class. It was an RTX 3070 and an i7-12700F; it is now an RTX 3060 or RX 6700 with an i7-10700 or Ryzen 5 5600.
  • The SSD recommendation is the one to take seriously. It is the only line that differs between the two PC columns on storage. In an open world that streams its terrain as you move, a hard drive is where stutter comes from.
  • DirectX 12 is supported. The official table lists DirectX 11/12 for both tiers, in line with the DirectX 12 optimisations the studio shipped earlier in the year.

If you have an NVIDIA card

Aniimo ships with DLSS 4.5, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution on the second-generation transformer model. On an RTX card that is the single biggest lever you have over frame rate, and it is the reason a mid-range RTX part will comfortably outrun its raw specs here. Our DLSS 4.5 report covers what was demonstrated.

Separately, the studio has announced voice interaction with your Aniimo through NVIDIA ACE, which NVIDIA dates to early 2027 and describes as a fine-tuned Nemotron model running locally on your GPU. No hardware floor has been published for it. Assume it will ask for more than the launch minimum, but do not buy a card on that assumption until a requirement is actually published.

Crashes on Intel 13th and 14th-gen processors

On September 14 the studio published a dedicated notice: the game may crash on some 13th and 14th-gen Intel Core desktop processors, with shader errors, out-of-VRAM errors, memory access violations or even Windows blue screens. It attributes this to Intel’s own degradation defect on those chips, not to Aniimo (official notice).

  • Models named in the notice: i5-13600K, i5-13600KF, i7-13700, i7-13700F, i7-13700K, i7-13700KF, i9-13900, i9-13900F, i9-13900K, i9-13900KF, i5-14600K, i7-14700, i7-14700F, i7-14700K, i7-14700KF, i9-14900, i9-14900F, i9-14900K, i9-14900KF.
  • First fix: update your motherboard BIOS, following Intel’s or your motherboard maker’s instructions, to Intel microcode 0x12B or later.
  • If crashes continue: install Intel XTU (the game’s own pop-up links to it), restart, and lower the performance-core multiplier by 2 to 3 steps (the notice’s example goes from 55x to 53x). Apply, then relaunch.
  • Still crashing? Contact in-game support.

Consoles and cloud

Aniimo launches on PlayStation 5 (and PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S on 16 September, and needs 30 to 35 GB free. The PS5 client installs only on the internal SSD, and PS4 is not supported. PS5 and Xbox controllers work, and there is an achievement and trophy system.

The dev-team letter also confirms Xbox cloud gaming at launch (letter, 3 September 2026), and the pre-download notice repeats it: log in at xbox.com/play with a Microsoft account to stream Aniimo on a phone, tablet, PC or Xbox. Playtime depends on your Microsoft account status, and it needs a fast, stable connection. That is the route if you want to play without capable local hardware at all.

Mobile requirements

The mobile version arrives on 23 September, a week after PC and consoles. Both platforms ask for 18 GB of free space.

The studio’s own warning applies here most: devices below the minimum “may be unable to launch or run the game properly”.

Controllers

  • On PC: PS4, PS5, DualSense Edge, Xbox, Xbox Elite, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch Pro, Nintendo Switch 2 Pro, 8BitDo Pro 2, Betop Asura and Machenike G5 Pro controllers.
  • On mobile: PS5 and Xbox controllers over Bluetooth, EasySMX M20, the GameSir G8+ (Apple MFi telescopic) and the GameSir X4 Aileron (Android only). Android telescopic controllers do not work on iOS, Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con controllers are not supported on mobile, and there is no controller vibration on mobile.

FAQ

  • How big is the Aniimo download? 40 GB on PC (SSD recommended), 30 to 35 GB on PS5 and Xbox, 18 GB on iOS and Android.
  • Will Aniimo run on a GTX 1060? Yes. The minimum is now a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 5600, both older than a GTX 1060.
  • Is 8 GB of RAM enough? Yes, it is the published PC minimum. 16 GB is recommended.
  • Do I need DirectX 12? No. The official table lists DirectX 11/12, so either works.
  • My game crashes on an Intel i7 or i9 13th or 14th gen. What do I do? Update your BIOS to Intel microcode 0x12B or later, then if needed lower the performance-core multiplier by 2 to 3 steps in Intel XTU. The steps are in the section above.
  • Is there a Mac or Linux version? Not announced. Only the platforms in our release date guide are official.
  • When can I pre-load? Now on PC, PS5 and Xbox: pre-download opened on 14 September 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8). On console it requires a pre-order pack. Our download guide has the steps.
