Two days before launch, Aniimo can be installed. Pre-download opened on September 14, 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8) on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, ahead of the launch on September 16 at 10:00 (UTC+8). Mobile is not part of it: iOS and Android stay on September 23.
On PC, the download on the official notice is a launcher, not the game itself: once it finishes you click Install Now, and from then on you start Aniimo through that launcher. The studio asks for 40 GB of free space and recommends an SSD. One point for testers: clients from previous tests can no longer be used, so uninstall the beta build and install the new launcher rather than trying to update the old one. On consoles, pre-download unlocks after buying a PS5 or Xbox pre-order pack, needs 30 to 35 GB, and the PS5 client installs only on the console’s internal SSD. PS4 is not supported.
The notice also settles the launch servers, which until now we could only describe from the beta. There are three, and they open at the same instant:
| Server | Opens |
|---|---|
| Aniimo-America | September 15, 2026, 22:00 (UTC-4) |
| Aniimo-Europe | September 16, 2026, 02:00 (UTC+0), so 03:00 in the UK and 04:00 in Central Europe |
| Aniimo-Apac | September 16, 2026, 10:00 (UTC+8) |
The account rules matter more than they look. Data on different servers is independent, but progress is fully shared across every platform within the same server, PC, console and mobile alike. On PS5 your server is assigned by your PSN account’s region, with no cross-server progress, so check that it matches the server of any character you already have elsewhere. The trap is on console: the prompt to link an existing Aniimo Pass email account appears only on the first login of a PSN or Microsoft account. Skip it and that console account registers a new Aniimo Pass, which can never be linked to your existing one afterwards. If you tested on Steam with another email, you can link the Steam account to your Aniimo Pass from the Steam client or later from the in-game Email Link page.
The recommended specs changed too, and in the players’ favour. The official table dated September 14, now mirrored on Steam, sets the PC minimum at a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 5600 with 8 GB of RAM and an i7-4770 or Ryzen 7 2700, down from the GTX 1060 and 12 GB the store page listed before. Recommended drops from an RTX 3070 to an RTX 3060 or RX 6700 with 16 GB. Mobile requirements appear for the first time: iPhone 11 (A13) on iOS 16 and Snapdragon 855 or Dimensity 1000 on Android 10 at minimum, 18 GB of space on both. Our system requirements guide has the full table, the controller list and the console figures.
A second notice published the same morning covers crashes on some 13th and 14th-gen Intel Core desktop processors. The studio points to Intel’s own degradation defect and gives two fixes: update the motherboard BIOS to Intel microcode 0x12B or later, or lower the performance-core multiplier by 2 to 3 steps in Intel XTU. The game itself shows a pop-up linking to XTU. Our requirements guide lists the affected models.
What this means for players (editor’s note): if you are on PC or console, install now rather than at 10:00 UTC+8 on the 16th, when everyone else will be downloading at once. If you are going to play on console and already have an account from the beta or from PC, have your Aniimo Pass email ready before your very first console login, because that one prompt is the only chance to keep a single account across platforms. And if you are in Europe, the servers open at 03:00 UK time and 04:00 Central European time on Wednesday, not during the day: the server status page has the conversion for your timezone.
